Hello, again.Today we are looking at the right way to potty train your Yorkie puppy in 14 days.
Americans love dogs! 62% of U.S. households own a pet, which equates to 72.9 million homes. Our dogs play a big part in our lives. They're so much fun to have around.
A new pup becomes part of your family in a rather subtle way. You bought that A Frame wooden dog house for the yard but trust me it wont be long before your new little partner is riding shotgun in your car joining you wherever you go.
Whenever a Yorkie puppy shows up it's a reason for great excitement any family and it will soon be clear that potty training is going to be a top priority if you want to maintain a happy home.
From your puppies perspective, there's no wrong or right spot to potty when they feel it coming on they just do it. You will have to show her where it's okay and exactly where it's not permissible.
Travelling from the breeders premises will present an ideal opportunity to teach your new little friend to love her crate. Make sure you’ve stocked up with treats and let her lie on a towel that bears the scent of her mother and litter mates.
When you arrive at the house, make sure she potties in the spot you've chosen in the back yard and give him a treat when he does. (Take your puppy to the same spot every time to relieve herself. Her scent will prompt her to go.)
Let your puppy spend a short time in her crate.(All dogs become conditioned never to eliminate in their dens. ) This is going to be a big day for her, and she will need some time to get accustomed to her new surroundings.
Put her crate in a room that’s a center of activity in your household, so your new puppy won’t feel isolated, and if possible make sure it’s one with tiles or easy-to-clean floors. I find the kitchen is a good choice; you can block it off from the rest of the house with a baby gate if required.
Unless she wants to go out to pee, walk off. If she begins to yap or whine do not let her out until she’s quietened down.
Your puppy will not have good bladder control yet, and excitement can make her need to poop or pee.
Take your puppy outside to potty after every 10 to 15 minutes of playtime, and straight after every meal. Taking her out to potty should be the very first thing you do with her every morning and the last thing at night.
Training should start straight away so that your puppy knows what's allowed, what's not permitted.
She needs to know where her food and water dishes are, what areas of the house are off limits, which are her toys and whether she’s allowed on the furniture or not.
It’s important that your puppy quickly understands what behavior will be rewarded with your attention.
As your new little partner learns that she needs to go outside to potty, you can slowly give her more freedom to explore the house.
Circling about, sniffing at the door, whining, or yapping, are signs she needs to go to the bathroom. Take her outside straight away. Take her out to her designated potty area and tell her "Go potty."
Stay out with your puppy for at least 20 minutes while she's relieving herself. I know, 20 minutes can seem like a very long time standing and waiting for a dog to go to go potty. I usually to set up an outside chair. When your puppy potties outside, praise her or give her a yummy treat. A game of tug is a nice reward.
Clean up accidents quickly afterward. If your dog has accident inside the house its important to clean the effected area very thoroughly. This will help prevent your little associate from wanting to use the same place.
I suggest you use an enzymatic cleaner, avoiding those that contain ammonia. This should help you to get rid of the smell and your puppies attraction to the area.
Punishing a puppy when there’s an accident is a definite not on. It will only teach her to be afraid of you!
If you catch her in the act, clap your hands loudly so she knows she’s done something wrong. Then take her outside to potty. When she’s finished, praise her or give him piece of cheese.
If you find the evidence but didn’t see her in the act, try not to react angrily by shouting or rubbing her nose in it. Your Yorkie puppy will not be intellectually able to connect your anger with her accident.

Don't feed your Yorkie when it gets close to her bedtime. Remove the dog bowl before going to bed.
Set an alarm for once or twice during the night. Just take your Yorkie outside as usual during the night. It is physically impossible for a puppy to hold it in all night.
Do not worry if you potty train your Yorkie puppy using these steps it will not be long before you'll both be snoozing until the morning.
If you follow the steps in this post, you should be well on your way to potty training your pug puppy in 14 days.
Your puppy will be house trained when you’ve had a month without an accident, but bare in mind that potty training is not an exact science. You need to have a dry month before you can really trust that your puppy not to poop or pee in the house.
